SHORT-TERM PROJECTS
Short design and research projects
SALESFORCE Staffing TOOL REDESIGN
GOAL
Improve the UI of the internal staffing tool used to match employees to contract opportunities. The tool was built on salesforce and fully functional, but coded with little thought to the organization or usability. The goal was to make the tool adhere to more design principles to make it easier to skim, edit and reference during internal staffing calls.
RESULTS
Designed two potential options for a more organized and consolidated view of contract opportunities, slated employees to be staffed, and meeting notes from the cross company discussions
The new experience emphasized clearer content groupings, distinct text hierarchy, color coding for filtering, and redesigned tables for clearer data representation
APPROACH
Conduct brief user interviews, and observe a staffing call to understand how the tool’s is currently used
Redesign landing page from wireframes to high-fidelity screens, testing each new feature with users and incorporating feedback into designs
Worked primarily with a salesforce developer, and a non-technical project manager to ensure the designs were technically feasible and aligned with business goals
Option 1
Final Mockup

APPROACH
We went through an extensive process of crafting survey questions with senior leadership on related to spending priorities, new technologies, overall economic sentiments, recent technology usage, and buying factors related to consumer behavior. We worked with Dynata to distribute this survey to a national representative US sample, and looked for statistically significant results when slicing questions by various factors to look for trends.
